Inside Out 2 stormed the theaters this summer as the most successful worldwide release of 2024, certainly creating envy by crossing the $1 billion mark in the worldwide box office. The Disney/Pixar film is now the highest-grossing animated film of all time with $1.462 billion to date at the global box office. The film has climbed the ranks and entered the exclusive billion-dollar club since its June 14 release, which includes 53 other films.

Nine other animated films have surpassed a billion dollars in gross revenue. Inside Out 2 has become the highest-grossing animated film ever, surpassing Frozen 2, with a current gross of $1.462 billion. Frozen 2 (2019) follows with $1.45 billion, and The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023) is in third place with $1.3 billion. With the blockbuster success of “Inside Out 2,” Disney holds 4 of the top 5 and 9 of the top 12 highest-grossing animated films in history.
