Felicity picked up some cheap picture frames in the charity shop to transform

A WOMAN has left people desperate to try her idea after revealing how she made some colourful wall decorations for just £6.

Felicity regularly shares DIY tips and tricks on her social media pages, and took to TikTok recently to show how she transformed some cheap picture frames from the charity shop.

She was hoping to add a “pop of colour” to her walls, without having to paint the whole wall, or splash out on new wallpaper.

“I just started by dismantling them and then I’m just using leftover tester pots and just going to paint them all white on the mount and all of the frames to start with,” Felicity began.

“So they look like this, already looking a lot better, and then I want to create a stripe colour effect – one’s going to be red, one green and one an off-black colour.”

She then used masking tape to line up where she wanted her stripes to be on the mount and the frame itself.

However, when the tape took off some of the paper on the mount as she removed it, Felicity added: “I think on reflection it’s probably easier to separately paint the mounts and the frames.”

Once she’d finished removing the paper, she varnished all of the frames to protect the paint, before putting the pictures inside.

It seems as though Felicity wanted a drink theme for where the pictures were going, as one featured the slogan ‘Give it your best shot’ alongside a shot glass.

The second had some ‘drink tickets’ on it and the third had a wine glass being filled up with the words ‘Keep ’em coming’ on it.

“I’ve seen a few people paint/fabric mounts and frames so thought I would give it a go,” Felicity wrote in the caption for the video.

“Created 3 frames here for about £6 as the frames were all from the charity shop and I already had the paint and varnish.

I was gobsmacked when I saw the new homeware items in Poundland – it’s like B&M but cheaper, I filled up my basket

“Got myself some cute prints from Etsy to finish them off!!”

People were quick to praise Felicity in the comments section, with one writing: “I am so stealing this idea! So cute!”

“Oh wow, never thought about doing something like this – it looks amazing,” another added.

To which Felicity replied: “I know I’m so happy with how it turned out! Give it a go!”

“So clever,” a third commented.
