The Jesus Lizard have announced they are canceling their scheduled 2025 tour dates, citing a “serious health incident” that has impacted an unspecified member of the noise rock band.
This decision applies to all of The Jesus Lizard’s upcoming shows, including October dates in New Zealand, Australia, and Japan, as well as their November performances in the US.
“Upon the advice of medical professionals following a serious health incident affecting one of the band members, it is considered necessary as a precautionary measure,” the group wrote in an Instagram post. “The band would like to convey their apologies to disappointed fans and emphasize that the affected member’s prognosis is excellent.”
The note closes by stating refunds will be available at the point of purchase, as they are currently unable to “project replacement dates.”
Earlier this year, The Jesus Lizard played a series of shows in the US, Europe, and the UK, including sets at Primavera Sound Barcelona and Porto.
All of these tour dates were in support of their first album in 26 years, 2024’s Rack, along with the Flux EP released earlier this year.
