Sirens is one of the hottest television shows of the summer, and Meghann Fahey is here for it. The actress, a White Lotus alum, showcases her remarkably svelte body in a Monday Swimwear bikini in a recent Instagram post. “Depending on the day,” she captioned the set of snaps. “Moods,” commented Monday Swim designer and model Devin Brugman. “Hott 🔥” commented another follower. How does she maintain her amazing figure? Here are her top diet and fitness tips.
Meghann prioritizes hydration. “Water is the main thing that I really need when I’m working long days, to get through and just to kind of keep my energy,” she told Women’s Health. Sometimes she adds Sakara’s Detox Water Drops. “Apparently, it’s really good for your liver and just general circulation and all kinds of stuff like that,” she says. “So that’s a new fun little thing that I’ve been trying out.”
Walking and hiking are also part of her routine. She makes sure to move first thing in the morning, to “just kind of sets the tone for the day, makes me feel like a little bit better,” she says. She enjoys running on the treadmill. According to the Mayo Clinic, running is excellent for cardiovascular health, muscle building, and weight loss. “For every mile run, the average person will burn approximately 100 calories,” they say.
She also works out with a trainer, usually two to three times a week, when she is in Los Angeles. “Usually when I’m seeing her that often, I’m not really doing anything else because it’s a lot,” Meghann says. She does a lot of weightlifting and strength training, including numerous squats. “As a woman, it’s so nice to feel like you’re getting stronger,” she said. According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and build lean muscle mass, and increase calorie burn. Strength training may also help you:
- Develop strong bones
- Manage your weight
- Enhance your quality of life
- Manage chronic conditions
- Sharpen your thinking skills
When she’s traveling, she is a fan of the Sweat app. “It’s just a nice template for anybody who feels maybe overwhelmed in a gym,” she says. “That, I’ve been using for years—I was using that during The Bold Type as well.”
Meghann is all about therapy. “That has been pretty life-changing for me, so that’s an important part of my routine,” she says. She also journals, meditates, and uses the Calm app for meditation. “Sometimes, people are hesitant about meditation ’cause they think they don’t have time to do it,” she says. “The truth is, you really only need a few minutes, and all it does is just remind you to breathe, which we forget to do, and I think that’s a really good way to start the day.”
