TV personality Shashi Naidoo is enjoying a vacation at a resort. She just shared a new reel on Instagram. In it, she spent time in the pool drinking cocktails. Naidoo revealed some of her favorite classes to Glamour. She says that she loves fitness classes, and tries to do them on a regular basis. “I’m not a naturally skinny person, so I do have to watch what I eat and keep active! As part of my exercise routine, I try to do three to four Movement X classes per week. Movement X is high-intensity interval training and I’ve found it to be the best way to stay toned and keep the kilogrammes off.”
Naidoo revealed her eating secrets to Glamour. She says that she doesn’t diet, but she does avoid and limit her indulgences. “When it comes to nutrition, I don’t really agree with the concept of dieting, but I do try to avoid junk food! Sugars and complex carbohydrates like breads and pastas are a big no-no!”
Naidoo tells Longevity Live that she has become a lot more mindful when it comes to her wellness. She says that the pandemic has helped her do this. “During lockdown, I went into a depressive state and that’s because I wasn’t moving,” she says. “I think the older we get, we start realizing, ‘Oh, this doesn’t make me feel good, I feel sluggish and slow’…I think now I’ve become more in tune with my body and what it wants.”
Naidoo posts a lot of her favorite workouts on Instagram. In this post, she revealed that she loves to do squats. In the caption, she revealed her tips to doing proper squats. “Feet shoulder width apart. Toes pointed slightly outward. Chest up & spine neutral. Full range of motion- squat equal to or below parallel. Don’t arch your back. Don’t tilt your head. Don’t buckle your knees.”
Naidoo makes sure to work out her upper body. She does a lot of weight and arm workouts, and shared her favorites in this Instagram post. She captioned the post, “Superset: 3 rounds. Unilateral kettlebell rows 10 reps ES. Bicep curls 10 reps. Superset: 3 rounds overhead triceps extensions 10 reps. Bodyweight dips 10 reps. Incline chest press 10 reps x 3 sets. Seated shoulder press 10 reps x 3 sets. Seated rows 12 reps x 3 sets. Deadlifts 10 reps x 3 sets.”
