MARTHA Stewart is known as America’s homemaker, but now the 83-year-old has confessed to having the traits of a homewrecker, as she reveals that she was unfaithful to her ex-husband during their 29-year marriage.
The cook and homeware guru has opened up about her relationship in a new Netflix documentary, where she admits that she cheated on her ex-husband Andrew Stewart, during their almost three decades together.

In a clip from the programme, Martha who was married to her husband Andrew from 1961 to 1990, was giving advice to younger women who have been betrayed, advising them to escape from their marriages.
But then a producer interjected with a home truth for Martha.
The producer said: “Didn’t you have an affair early on?” To which Martha replied: “Yeah but I don’t think Andy ever knew about that.”
Martha entered into a relationship with Andy when she was just a teenager of 19 and he was 23 after being put together on a blind date.
At the time Andy was a Yale Law student, before he went into publishing and he is now publisher emeritus of Fieldstone Publishing.
The couple were married for nearly 30 years after tying the knot in 1961, and they welcomed their only daughter, Alexis Stewart, 59, in 1965.
After her divorce in 1990, Martha briefly dated Oscar-winning Welsh actor Sir Anthony Hopkins and then software architect Charles Simonyi on and off for 15 years from 1993 to 2008.
The documentary which drops on 30 October, follows the tastemakers journey from her teenage years working as a teenage model, to becoming American’s the first self-made female billionaire.
The film also focuses on the working-class family background that instilled a solid work ethic and her spell in a federal prison in 2004 after being found guilty of charges including conspiracy and obstruction of justice relating to the sale of stock.
“I was a trophy for these idiots. I was dragged into solitary, no food or water. Those prosecutors should have been put in a Cuisinart and turned on high.”
But now the TV cook is said to be unhappy with the Netflix show for focusing too much attention around her “stupid trial” and she slammed the finished product as being “lazy”.
Martha said she “had a collaboration contract” with filmmaker R.J. Cutler, and stated, “We were going to be collaborators- and then he had final edit.”
She said that wanted changes to have been made to the second half of the film, but Cutler “wouldn’t change anything.”
Stewart further explained that the second part of the documentary, “doesn’t mention all my collaborations.”
“For them not to even have a part in this – it’s not fair, I don’t think, in a story of my life. That’s what really made me, me,” the star added.
The documentary, Martha, airs on Netflix on October 30.
