Lorde is looking back on her second album, Melodrama, which was released six years ago.
While reminiscing on her Instagram Story, the -year-old singer shared a cut off text message that she received from Taylor Swift.

In a carousel of images and videos, Lorde looked back at just how Melodrama‘s concept was born and the process she went through to make it.
In between all of them, Lorde also shared a text that Taylor had sent to her following the album’s first week sales being reported.
According to Billboard, the album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, but it only sold 109,000 equivalent album units.
In Taylor‘s text, it read: “You will always be imagined in my mind in a rowboat with Annie Lennox floating down a river of cool cerebral ethereal dreams but don’t-f***-with-me vibes all around you.”
Taylor then went on to text to Lorde: “And I don’t think first week record sales singularly define a legacy.”
Lorde then wrote over the screenshot that “Taylor was very kind and not wrong.”
Lorde was just recently spotted out and about with boyfriend Justin Warren.
