Newton is an avid golfer. She shares a lot of posts on Instagram of herself on the course. Newton is even Ralph Lauren’s face for women’s golf. She talked about her love of golf to Harper’s Bazaar, “Well, I’ve always been really lucky that I grew up on a golf course. So golf was always just a part of my life. And on set, I always bring my clubs. I’m always playing on the weekend. A lot of people play golf in the business. So now, even my best friends are learning how to play golf in quarantine.”

Newton picked up some new habits during the pandemic. One thing she has started doing is practicing yoga. She tells Byrdie, “I’ve started doing yoga every morning at 9 a.m. I’ve made a little spot in my living room with a blanket and a pillow. It’s my spot.” Harvard Health states that yoga has a lot of benefits. “Yoga is known for its ability to soothe tension and anxiety in the mind and body. But it can also have an impact on a person’s exercise capacity. Researchers studied a small group of sedentary individuals who had not practiced yoga before. After eight weeks of practicing yoga at least twice a week for a total of 180 minutes, participants had greater muscle strength and endurance, flexibility and cardio-respiratory fitness.”
Newton revealed some of her skincare tips and products to Byrdie. “Another thing I’ve been able to do in quarantine is more skincare. I’ve been using Chanel skincare. It’s so good. So for starters, the Sublimage eye cream is two steps, so I use [the cream], then I use this gold metal roller and it just feels so good on your skin. And I’m taking the time to let things feel good. I’ll do anything I can to pamper myself. That’s the silver lining—right now I have time to actually take care of myself.”
