Jacqueline Fernandez in Two-Piece Workout Gear Does Yoga for "Inner Harmony"

Jacqueline Fernandez is striking a yoga pose – in her exercise clothes. In a new social media post the model shows off her amazing figure in a pink crop top and matching leggings as she demonstrates some moves. “Yoga has been my journey to balance and serenity, every pose is a step to inner harmony,” she captioned the Instagram clip. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

“I work out for an hour a day. I’ve been at it for years now. Balance is key,” she told Vogue India. “As much as I can, I try to take time out for my fitness routine even if it’s just an hour. [After a later night] a good workout makes me feel fresh,” she adds to Elle

Yoga helps Jacqueline with mental health struggles. “I have been dealing with some major anxiety these past few weeks.. however being consistent with yoga has taught me the valuable lesson of being in the moment and what’s even more important.. gratitude.. for life and being alive.. have a great day everyone! Namaste,” she captioned a post.

Jacqueline does “various forms of exercises” in addition to yoga, including Pilates, glutes training, and dancing, she told Elle. She even likes pole dancing and aerial silks. “No matter what you do on the pole, your upper body gets super ripped,” she shared. Dancing is a great workout for many reasons. Not only does it build strength and promote flexibility, but helps you lose weight and even promotes cardiovascular function. A 2016 study published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine determined that people who engaged in moderate-intensity dancing were 46 percent less likely to develop heart disease or die from it than non-dancers. In comparison, moderate-intensity walkers were just 25 percent less likely to suffer heart health issues.

The model also does ballet. “Jacqueline and I met a few years back when she wanted to improve her flexibility. I taught her ballet privately, and our bond developed from there. She possesses a very athletic Sri Lankan physique and, in my book, can pretty much do anything you ask of her,” her trainer, Cindy Jourdain, told Vogue.

When it comes to eating, Jacqueline has a hack for sticking to healthy food. “It gets tougher to take time out during a busy schedule but I always carry my own food – there’s nothing like being committed to eating right,” she told Elle. She fuels up with a healthy breakfast. “It’s either quinoa porridge with soy milk or rye bread toast with peanut butter or honey and eggs.”
