A WOMAN has left people gobsmacked after she revealed that she took back her ex-husband after they got a divorce.
Whilst the couple were divorced, Georgia Lawrence’s ex-husband had a daughter with someone else.
As a result, since rekindling and getting married again, for the second time, Georgia is now a “bonus mum”.
The content creator and mother, who is from Alabama, took to social media to open up on her situation, leaving many totally stunned.
Georgia claimed that trolls slam her for getting back with her ex-husband, but she won’t let their negativity get her down.
In a short but sweet clip shared online, we saw the brunette beauty holding a little girl, whom she calls her “bonus daughter” – the child of her once ex-husband, who she is now re-married to.

As she hugged the youngster, Georgia said: “Imagine hating on me for remarrying my ex-husband after he had a baby with someone else. I’m just over here like…”
Georgia then confirmed: “We were divorced and I thank God for her every single day!”
Georgia praised her “blended family” and shared that she went back for “round two of marriage” after a divorce and “years of no contact.”
Whilst she was divorced, she claimed that she did not speak or see her ex-husband.
Whilst being divorced, Georgia spent “time and effort” working on herself.
Then, randomly one day, both she and her ex-husband were driving along, when they both pulled up next to each other at a red light.
They confessed that they both still had feelings for eachother and knew they couldn’t be without each other so did what they needed to do to make things work.
Now, as a result, Georgia explained that the pair “understand each other better” and “communicate better”.
How can you make a blended family work?
THERE are an increasing amount of blended families making it work around the world, with some of them even taking that extra step and living together.
And in a post on the Supernanny website, clinical psychologist Dr Victoria Samuel has revealed her three of her top tips to make a blended family work and to avoid common blended family pitfalls.
Prepare for intense feelings
“For a new blended family to be formed, a breakdown of an original family must happen, so it’s normal for children to experience intense and sometimes overwhelming feelings: anger, disappointment, sadness, grief, guilt, worry and insecurity,” she said.
“When parents remarry or move in with a new partner who has children from a pre-existing marriage, a child faces further threats to his sense of stability.”
To help this process, ensure you accept and listen to all your children’s feelings “without judgement or suggesting immediate solutions”, and “convey an acceptance of their experiences with concern and empathy”.
Agree parenting roles
“It’s absolutely crucial to show a united front,” Dr Victoria said.
“The younger family members need to know that rules will be consistently and fairly applied, by both adults, to all children in the family.”
In a bid to put across a “consistent approach”, take the time to “openly discuss your parenting values with your new partner”.
“Talk about those taken-for-granted beliefs you have about family life: what behaviour you expect and what you won’t tolerate,” she added.
Push a problem-solving approach
“A great way of avoiding simmering resentment is to arrange regular family meetings,” Dr Victoria suggested.
“Take it in turns to chair the meeting and avoid interruptions and shouting with the pass the stone technique: to be allowed to talk at the meeting, the ‘stone’ (a pen or apple or whatever you have to hand!) has to be in the speaker’s hands.
“There is only one stone, so only one person talks at once.”
She continued: “People don’t get it, they think we’re crazy, but we know we are no good without each other.”
Georgia later confirmed that she has a “good” relationship with her step-daughter’s mother, as she claimed: “We’re very civil with each other!”
SOCIAL MEDIA USERS REACT
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @georgia.lawrence_, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed a jaw-dropping 594,600 views.
But social media users were left totally divided by the clip – whilst some praised the mother, others weren’t keen on her situation.
One woman beamed: “Right person, wrong time. People who are truly meant to be together will find they’re way back to each other.”
I love your story and the way y’all found your way back to each other

A second chimed in: “People can’t really handle the grey parts of life. Not everything is perfectly clean or black & white. Just follow your path.”
Someone else penned: “This speaks volumes of the woman you are…couldn’t love this enough if I tried.”
Meanwhile, a fourth wrote: “I truly admire you. I love your story and the way y’all found your way back to each other. Ignore ignorance and negativity. Stay strong and keep loving and living your best life.”
It’s a no from me

However, at the same time, not everyone was so kind.
One person said: “Stop glorifying this.”
Another added: “It’s a no from me.”
Whilst a third simply commented: “Strange.”
Not only this, but another claimed: “People will do what you allow them to do…. he will cheat again boo.”
But to this, Georgia clapped back and confirmed: “He never cheated… we were divorced.”
