Kelly Hoppen, an Interior Designer, Author, Entrepreneur and Product Designer, who was also a ‘Dragon’ on BBC Two’s Dragons’ Den, has taken to social media to share her interior design pet hate.

Posting online, the curly-haired, South African-born star shared a short clip with the caption ‘Chopped cushions are a big no!’

Chopped cushions refer to creating a dip in the middle of a cushion using your arm – a bedroom staple loved by celebrities including Kim and Khloe Kardashian

Doing the karate chop to your cushions is intended to make them appear more comfortable, plumper and softer.

But chopped cushions are banned in Kelly’s home, as she revealed: “I’m an interior designer and of course I hate chopped cushions.”

Not only this, but Kelly has previously said: “My pet hate is chopped cushions.

“Never chop a cushion.”

The interior pro also advised that cushions should never be at an angle when on display.

She continued: “A cushion needs to be straight, straight on and never at an angle.”

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @kellyhoppen, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed 275,200 views.
