Emily Duncan, a fitness coach and influencer, is known for sharing valuable wellness and fitness tips with her large social media following. Recently, she took to Instagram to offer advice on avoiding stomach issues, encouraging her followers to focus on reducing stress, eating healthier, and cutting back on caffeine. In her candid post, Duncan humorously declared, “Hot girls have stomach problems BUT WE SHOULDN’T!!” as she delves into common digestive concerns and teased an upcoming project for her holistic coaching brand, Fenix Athletica. Here’s a deeper look at how Emily approaches rest, fitness, and a balanced lifestyle to keep her body and mind in top shape.
Duncan talked about the importance of rest in this Instagram post. “Take what you need, and remember: that little voice in your head telling you to quit, that it doesn’t matter, or that you’ve reached your full potential is full of shit 😇I love how we’re having more conversations about the importance of rest. We NEED to rest so we can give 100%. And also… sometimes you can’t rest. At least not right now. Whether it’s in this moment or in this season. So here’s your reminder that there’s equal value in learning how to dig deeper when you need it most. How to find that little well inside of you that you can pull from when you think you have nothing. How to flip that switch, narrow your focus, and go.”
Duncan loves to practice breathwork, and encourages her clients to do the same. She captioned this Instagram post, “I love when science 🧬 and spirituality 🪐meet 😉. Breathwork has been around for thousands of years, and certainly longer than we’ve had data explaining why and how it’s so powerful. As a holistic fitness + wellness coach that serves predominantly high performing, high stress women, it’s a non-negotiable tool in my arsenal.”
Duncan likes to go to the beach. She shared these photos of herself on the beach in Milos on Instagram. Duncan captioned them, “This beach is carved out of sand-colored volcanic rock, which quite literally makes it look like you’re on a beach on the moon. The giant rock formations + the crystal clear water was a complete dream 🥹. If you ever come to Greece, please please please put Milos on your list 💙. I’ll have more to share after we leave + can fully compile my thoughts, but it’s such a beautiful and rugged place. Stunning around every turn 🥹”
Duncan revealed in this Instagram post’s caption that valuing fitness has helped her find confidence. “What if you could go from feeling STUCK to feeling Clear, Capable, Confident. With an abundance of self-trust and understanding? That’s exactly what happens when you treat your relationship to fitness and your body as a safe space. Both a constant amidst change and a place where you can come and challenge yourself and prove that you’re capable of more? My guess is you’d get farther than you ever thought possible, finally meet that next level version of self, and maybe, just maybe, do it with both the drive and grit you’ve always had, along with the grace and compassion you’ve always needed.”
Duncan makes sure to be consistent with her wellness routine. She shared it in the caption of this Instagram post. “You don’t have to be genetically elite to live in a 🔥 body while ALSO having a healthy mindset around your fitness. There are some MAJOR universal keys 🔑, like: 🍯 be less sedentary 🍯 get A+++ at being consistently consistent with how and what you eat 🍯 train progressively 🍯 get out of the ‘bulk/cut’ cycle (esp after reaching larger fat loss goals) 🍯 embrace ‘simple, not easy’ 🍯 sleep well 🍯 eat more whole foods. And that would all get you pretty far, tbh.”
