Disha Patani just shared a set of new photos on Instagram to update her followers on her life. She’s been having a lot of beach days. In one photo, Patani wore a brown bathing suit with fringe. In another, she went for a dip in the pool in a pink bikini with blue flowers. In another pool photo, she wore another pink bikini, this time with silver dots. She captioned the post, “Random.” How does she stay so fit? Patani revealed some of her workout secrets to Vogue, including some of her favorite workout gear. Patani says that it is important to find good sneakers, and gave some tips on how to do so. “You need to understand your feet first—whether you are flat footed or have high arches. Only then can you buy something that fits you properly. But always keep comfort as your top priority, and ensure that you are opting for the right size—your shoes shouldn’t be too big, loose or tight.”

Patani makes sure to workout regularly, and does a variety of things. “I work out everyday,” she tells Vogue. “My routine usually involves cardio in the mornings, like dancing, kick boxing or gymnastics, and weight training in the evenings. I supplement that with a protein-carbs diet.”

Patani revealed some of her diet secrets to Vogue. She says that she makes sure she has enough protein in her diet, especially when she’s working out. “I have fallen into this bad habit where I don’t eat anything in the mornings before working out, because I feel very full while exercising if I do. But, it is definitely advisable to cram in a small meal before a work out, consisting of some protein, like eggs. After exercising, it is good to add protein again, either through chicken, eggs or paneer.”

Patani eats healthy, however, she does believe in having a cheat day now and then. “I absolutely love them,” she tells Vogue. “In fact, I wait for cheat days the whole week. Depending on the diet I am following and my shoot schedule, I sit down once a week and eat everything I can fit into my stomach.”

Patani opened up about her childhood to the Times Of India. She says that she had to work hard, and it helped her get to where she is. “While growing up, we had to study a lot. I wanted to be an air force pilot, however, things didn’t work in that direction for me. Ours was quite a strict household, but this helped me be independent right from the beginning.”
