Cole Zieser of “The Outsiders” musical spoke with members of the media on the “Room to Move” red carpet of the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival.
Zieser on the Tribeca Film Festival
On being a special guest at the Tribeca Film Festival, Zieser said, “It feels great. I am very excited to see the movie. I’ve heard many great things, and Jenn Freeman is amazing.”
“I love the quietness of the Tribeca Film Festival,” he admitted. “Being at the Jacobs Theatre, I am always by Times Square, so it is nice to feel a little breath of fresh air down here.”
Zieser on ‘The Outsiders’ musical on Broadway
On being a part of the Broadway cast for “The Outsiders,” he said, “It feels amazing! I am so grateful. I’m sore all the time but it’s truly a dream come true. I play Trip and I understudy a couple of other main actors (Bob and Paul).”
“It is really surreal and an honor to be a part of a Tony award-winning musical… to carry the mantle and represent that every single day on stage,” Zieser noted.
“It is truly amazing to do ‘The Rumble,’ which is choreographed by the Kuperman Brothers,” he added.
Advice for young and emerging performers
For young and aspiring performers, Zieser said, “If you work hard enough, your dreams will come true.”
“You need to love yourself enough that even if your dreams never came true, your love for yourself wouldn’t change,” he added.
Success
Regarding his definition of success, Zieser remarked, “Success means joy and peace.”
“Getting to a point where you are surrounded by people that you love and having a life you’ve always dreamed of. If your soul feels at peace, then that’s what’s important,” he elaborated.
Message for his fans
For his fans and supporters, Zieser expressed, “Thank you for believing in me and for supporting me. The fans are a blessing.”
