REBA McEntire’s ex-husband has just married one of her old close friends.
Strangely, the unique dynamic isn’t rare among celebrity figures, many of whom have swapped partners despite friendships.

In Reba‘s case, the 69-year-old’s ex-husband, Narvel Blackstock, 67, tied the knot with his new woman.
Reba was married to Kelly Clarkson‘s ex-father-in-law from 1989 to 2015.
Now, though, he’s found love with her ex-best friend, Laura Stroud, whom sources claim he’d been dating for a long time.
Laura and Narvel exchanged vows at The Hermitage in Nashville, Tennessee over the weekend.

In attendance was Reba and Narvel’s son, Shelby, 34.
It seems that Reba gave the wedding a miss, despite her links to both newlyweds.
Thankfully, Reba has found a new man of her own, and has been seeing television star Rex Linn, 67, since 2020.

Reba isn’t alone in seeing her ex-husband take up with a friend, after Shania Twain, 58, suffered a shocking betrayal from her partner.
The star married Robert John ‘Mutt’ Lange in 1993, and the couple welcomed a son, Eja, in 2001.
In 2008, however, the Queen of Country Pop realized that her husband was hiding a major secret.
Mutt surprised Shania by asking for a divorce, leading the singer to turn to her best friend and secretary, Marie-Anne Thiébaud, for advice.
Shania asked Marie-Anne if she thought Mutt was “acting strange,” but the other woman put her at rest.
However, she then learned that her husband and best friend had been having an affair.
“I had a total panic attack. I just told her that she was a bad person – that’s all I could get out!” Shania told Oprah.
Shockingly, the man who helped her move on, Frederic Thiébaud, was Marie-Anne’s ex-husband.
Shania and Frederic got married in 2011, completing a full spousal swap.

Over in the film industry, Katie Holmes, 45, once nabbed a friend of her ex-husband Tom Cruise, 61.
Tom became pals with Jamie Foxx, 56, on the set of Collateral in 2004, shortly before he married Katie in 2006.
Once the couple divorced in 2012, Katie quickly started a private romance with Jamie.

On August 24, 2013, Jamie and Katie were spotted at the Apollo benefit in East Hampton, New York.
“Jamie and Katie are friends and have been for a long time. They are two adults who are attractive and single, and so apparently conclusions will be drawn.

In an instance that proved not all friends could overcome partner-swapping, Melrose Place star Heather Locklear lost a close pal due to in-dating.
Heather was married to Richie Sambora from 1994 to 2007, and the duo welcomed a daughter in 1996.
Meanwhile, Heather’s close friend Denise Richards divorced her husband Charlie Sheen in 2006.
Soon after the respective divorces, Denise and Richie began dating, proving the end to her friendship with Heather.
However, Denise shared that her relationship with Heather was already on the outs, and asserted, “I did not interfere with their marriage,” to People.
