Hailee Steinfeld, the multi-talented actress and singer known for her roles in Pitch Perfect, Hawkeye, and The Edge of Seventeen, recently took to Instagram to share a summer selfie in her workout gear. Alongside her thriving career, Steinfeld is also committed to maintaining a healthy lifestyle, which includes a dedicated skincare routine and mindful wellness practices. From her go-to cleanser to her love for cooking, here’s how Hailee keeps her skin glowing and her body energized.
Steinfeld shared some of her favorite skincare products in an interview with WhoWhatWear. She revealed that she was introduced to her favorite cleanser by a dermatologist. “Christie Kidd has changed my outlook on skincare in general and what it means to take care of your skin—it’s so important to start by knowing what it is you’re putting on your skin and in your body. She has a face cleanser that I have been using for the longest time. I love when a product becomes a staple because I love to keep a clean and concise number of go-to products to stay consistent with. I think consistency within the products has been key to me in my skincare routine. But her face cleanser has been a game-changer for me.”
Steinfeld revealed that she loves getting facials with WhoWhatWear. “I also love going to [Kidd] for a hydrafacial every now and then. I have found that less is more with my skin, so I don’t do too much. I’ll do a hydrafacial when I’m in town and I can go in and see Christie, and it just feels like a really great way to cleanse the skin, clear out my pores, and hydrate and get all the good stuff in there that lasts me a good while if I am doing what I know I’m supposed to be doing in the interim with taking care of my skin.”
Steinfeld tells WhoWhatWear that one of her most important skincare tips is protecting her skin from the sun. “I’ve gotten a lot better about it, even in the fall and winter months. You’re still exposed to those rays that are stronger than we know, so even if it’s not sunny out or you’re not directly in the sun, continuing to keep SPF as part of your routine is important.”
One of Steinfeld’s biggest wellness secrets is staying hydrated. She talked about it in an interview with Bustle. “For me, hydration is the one thing that I rely on consistently to make me feel good. I don’t drink caffeine — water is my caffeine. It helps keep my body running, it does wonders for my skin and energy levels, and it helps with fatigue.”
Steinfeld likes to cook a lot of her own meals. “I have become more aware and more concerned about everything I put in my body, from the ingredients and products that I’m using and the food that I’m eating,” she told StyleCaster. “I have found a love in preparing my own food, for the sake of knowing exactly how it’s prepared and what’s going into it. I’ve realized that I genuinely feel better when things are cleaner and it makes a fun night out at your favorite restaurant that meal way more exciting, and you appreciate it more.”
