Where to buy tickets, best prices

In March 2024, Adrianne Lenker released their homespun sixth solo album “Bright Future” to almost universal acclaim.

Pitchfork called the record “free-flowing and intuitive; Rolling Stone dubbed it “a raw gem” and Stereogum claimed Lenker is “operating on another level right now.”

And, this fall, the Big Thief singer is bringing the critically-lauded “Bright Future” to the East Coast on a brief 11-concert tour with collaborators Nick Hakim, Mat Davidson, and Josefin Runsteen.

Midway through the run, the four-piece will swoop into Brooklyn for a pair of back-to-back gigs at Kings Theatre on Monday, Nov. 18 and Tuesday, Nov. 19.

“I’m looking forward to being with you and for getting to share these songs in person,” they shared on Instagram.

If this sounds like the acoustic tour for you, tickets are available for all 11 upcoming Adrianne Lenker concerts.

At the time of publication, prices start at $95 before fees on Vivid Seats.

Other shows have seats in the $99 to $252 range before fees.

Adrianne Lenker new music

As noted above, Lenker released “Bright Future” in March 2024.

Comprised of 12 folksy, acoustic tracks, the 32-year-old straddles the line between winsome folk and DIY country of a bygone era over the album’s 44-minute runtime.

Highlights include the plucky, trippy “Fool,” sweetly sensitive “Evol” and the deceptively simple and gorgeous “Ruined.”

Still, the true standout is the ironic “Vampire Empire,” which sounds like a jaunty happy-go-lucky ditty until you realize how heartbreaking the lyrics are. “I am nothing, you are nothing, we are nothing with the pills” dares your brain to forget that turn of phrase. We don’t think you will.

Simply put, the record is at times beautiful, heartbreaking, nostalgic and filled with childlike wonder.

“Bright Future” is one of 2024’s best and you can hear it here.
