They said what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas—but that was before the Internet.
Ergo, Ed Sheeran and The Chainsmokers are now getting a little closer (you’ll get that cheesy pun in a moment) after videos of the chart-topping musicians partying in Vegas over the weekend invaded social media like a tornado in a trailer park.
Sheeran joined the duo at XS Nightclub on Saturday night after wrapping up his North American “Mathematics Tour” earlier in the evening at Allegiant Stadium. The “Bad Habits” singer arrived at the venue around 1:30am with an entourage of 15 people before joining The Chainsmokers’ Drew Taggart and Alex Pall in the DJ booth, a rep from Wynn Las Vegas tells EDM.com.

What happened next was a rare mashup of Halloween, karaoke and Vegas hedonism that amounted to many “you had to be there” moments.
After plucking Pall’s Captain America helmet right off his head, Sheeran chugged champagne and performed a slew of live renditions of their hits, including The Chainsmokers’ generational dance anthem, “Closer.” They then partied until around 3:30am before calling it a night.
