The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Wednesday, August 17, tease that Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will get a shock while Talia Morgan (Natalie Morales) debuts for some Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) digging.
For starters, Nikki will introduce Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) to someone who could speed Diane’s takedown along.
The Talk’s Natalie Morales will play Talia Morgan, an LA-based investigative reporter who becomes quite interested in Diane’s scandalous return from the dead.
Talia will insist the readers at her magazine would love this story, so that’ll be just what Nikki wants to hear.
Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) should still be out of town, but Nikki and Phyllis will have a chance to steer Talia in the right direction.
Meanwhile, Diane will make a vow to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) – no doubt one involving this better path she’s now on.
We might hear Diane make more promises about playing nice with Phyllis at Marchetti and proving she’s a changed woman.
Diane may also repeat her vow about not letting Kyle and Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez) down.
Working the devoted grandparent angle is really working for Diane when it comes to scoring points with Jack.
Over with Kyle and Summer, Y&R spoilers say their romantic night won’t go according to plan.
It turns out Summer and Kyle’s evening together will take a stunning turn, so it’ll be interesting to see why.
It’d be fun if Summer took this opportunity to reveal a surprise pregnancy, but this shocker may be more about Diane instead.
It’s possible Kyle and Summer will witness that investigative reporter meeting and worry Phyllis is plotting against her rival.
Then again, Summer and Kyle might come home to find Diane cozying up to Jack in a close moment.
It could leave Kyle and Summer worried about how Phyllis will react – that is if things progress any further.
Jack and Diane will share a kiss at some point this week, but that could be part of Diane’s looming daydream depending on how all this plays out.
