On Saturday, Nov. 2, The String Cheese Incident returned to The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, N.Y. to close out its four-night Northeast Halloween run. After appearances at Brooklyn, N.Y.’s Brooklyn Paramount, Philadelphia’s The Met Philadelphia and a preceding set at The Cap on Nov. 1, the three-decade jamgrass figureheads coasted onto the storied stage for a a grand finale.

After an opening performance from the New York-based indie jam outfit Stolen Gin, SCI presented a top-tier two-set show with 12 total tracks. In a reflection of its legacy and continued development, the band balanced longtime favorites like “Black Clouds,” “Got What He Wanted,” “Land’s End” and “Restless Wind” against more recent favorites like “Can’t Wait Another Day” and “I Will Follow You.” As a cherry on top, the band returned after the lights went down for an encore of Pink Floyd’s 1971 Meddle standout “Fearless,” marking its first treatment by The String Cheese Incident since the band’s 2018 run at Morrison, Colo.’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
