In a TikTok video, Tallia shares her breakfast routine. This includes a protein shake. Why is protein good for you, especially in the morning? The American Society for Nutrition suggests that, “A high protein breakfast has been shown to benefit muscle health and to support weight loss by increasing muscle mass, energy expenditure (calories burned), satiety hormones, glucose regulation and by decreasing the desire to snack at night.” No more skipping breakfast!
Tallia keeps a water bottle with her to stay hydrated throughout the day, as can be seen in her TikTok post. How much water do you need to drink? According to Harvard Health, “Most people need about four to six cups of water each day.” And, “To ward off dehydration, drink fluids gradually, throughout the day. An easy way to do this is to have a drink at each meal, as well as socially, or with medicine.”
What can you come up with to have fun and be active? In a challenge, Tallia was seen hula hooping and throwing a basketball. That will make for a good sweat! “Basketball as a recreational exercise seems to share many affirmative attributes with typical health-enhancing physical activities. Boosting cardiometabolic health and strengthening bone structure might be among the most promising benefits of playing leisure-time basketball, while controlling for risk of injury,” says the Mayo Clinic.
In this TikTok video, Tallia shows her fans she takes supplements for her hair. “In addition to a healthy diet, there is evidence that some supplements can benefit your overall well-being with little to no risk,” says Dr. Millstein in an article by Penn Medicine. One thing we can observe, in her Instagram posts, Tallia’s hair does look luscious.
Tallia slimmed down 20 pounds by doing 20,000 steps daily. (See here in this video.) It’s time to get your pedometer out or simply use the app on your phone and start keeping track of those steps! The CDC says, “Walking is a great way to get the physical activity needed to obtain health benefits. Walking does not require any special skills. It also does not require a gym membership or expensive equipment. A single bout of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity can improve sleep, memory, and the ability to think and learn. It also reduces anxiety symptoms.” In other words, walking is good for your overall wellbeing!
