Last night, Talib Kweli kicked off his four-night eight-show run at the Blue Note Jazz Club in New York City. The show was introduced by surprise host Dave Chappelle.
Chappelle stated that Kweli and his contemporary Mos Def are two of his best friends in show business and that he is hoping for a reunion of their rap duo Black Star, later this year. Other guests featured during the evening included American record producer and rapper Diamond D.
