Fitness model Michelle Lewin is asking fans their opinion on where she should compete next. Lewin, 38, shared a video of herself wearing bikini bottoms and a black tank top, posing in front of a mirror. “Will we compete again? 😜 And what category? Bikini or Wellness?” she captioned the post. “Beautiful Michelle! You are an example of perseverance and discipline ❤️,” a fan commented. Here’s how the fitness influencer stays strong and happy while juggling family and career.
Lewin loves intense cardio sessions at least once a day, especially when she’s trying to cut weight for competitions. “I just love to sweat like a maniac,” she told Simply Shredded. “So whatever I feel like: StairMaster, rollerblading around South Beach Miami or spinning classes. I keep the intensity high and make sure that I am always pushing my hardest.”
Lewin has three exercises she would pick if she had to limit herself: “Sprints – Helps tighten that booty and burns fat at the same time,” she told Simply Shredded. “Lunges – Great exercise to really target my leg muscles. Side Lateral Raises – Boring for some people but I love to train shoulders and I feel that side raises have really helped sculpt my delts.”
Lewin works out twice a day, mixing it up with weights and cardio. “My day consists of two workouts: cardio in the morning and weight training in the evening,” she told Iron Man Magazine. “But that’s the only thing that is constant from day to day. My life is packed with meetings, photo shoots, gym videos, and a lot of traveling. I train six days a week. I do cardio in the morning for 45 minutes and weights every evening. I do all muscle groups once per week, but I focus mostly on glutes and abs, which I train twice a week.”
Lewin loves fun workouts like Zumba, which keep you going and don’t feel like a grueling exercise. She suggests doing it in hotel rooms while traveling if necessary. “Each move you make is accompanied by music, and music is the main motivator,” she told PEOPLE. “You forget to count while you are exercising and enjoy yourself while you do this one-hour workout that works out every muscle in your body.”
Lewin doesn’t take a break from training, after a negative experience while on vacation. “I wasn’t able to keep up my routine, and it took almost two months to get back in shape,” she told Iron Man Magazine. “I really learned from that and will never do that again! I’m usually just seven days out from being shoot or competition ready. My body is my career and a business, so I can’t afford to let it go.”
