This Thursday, May 16, Dead & Company will commence their highly-anticipated residency at The Sphere in Las Vegas, slated to run weekly, with concerts occurring each evening on Thursday through Sunday–except Memorial Day Weekend. Ahead of the group’s ensuing schedule, Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas has complemented the onslaught of Sphere live shows with its own entertainment roll-out, billed as After Parties.
Filling the initial slot for Brooklyn Bowl’s post-Dead & Company schedule is LP Giobbi, who will deliver her Dead House set on Saturday, May 18. The following weekend, the Jerry Garcia Tribute project, Jerry’s Middle Finger, is billed to perform two concerts, May 25 through 26, before After Show duties are handed off to Eggy, performing on May 30 and 31.
The weekly roll-out of After Parties will bring Led Zeppelin 2 into the mix next. The cover artists will play on the Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas stage beginning June 7, with a follow-up slated for the next night as well. As June continues, Melvin Seals & JGB will perform on June 20 before Pink Talking Fish take up the musical task on June 21.
Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country will close out June’s After Party schedule and is slated to play for a Sin City audience on June 22. TAUK, featuring vocal powerhouse Kanika Moore, will arrive on July 4 and 5, prior to Circles Around the Sun’s July 6 performance. Continuing the celebration of Dead-adjacent music, Dark Star Orchestra will deliver a July 10 concert. The final post-Sphere show will see Doom Flamingo at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas on July 11. The Charleston, S.C. band will cut into their revered Queen is Doomed set, which pulls in covers from the Freddy Mercury-fronted favorites.
In addition to concert experiences, Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas will feature added entertainment options, including PhanArt In All Good Company, on May 18 and 25, June 8, 15, and 22, and July 6 and 13; read more. During the PhanArt event, Guess The Year will offer bar trivia from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., giving Dead fans an opportunity to test their band knowledge.
Also featured on the docket is Sirius XM’s Grateful Dead channel, This Day in Dead History, a happy-hour listening party slated for May 23, 30, 31, June 7, 13, 14, 20, and 21, in addition to July 4, 5 and 11.
