There may not have been a bigger band in the world in the mid 1990’s than Manchester, England-based Oasis. Led by brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, some in the British press dubbed the band the next Beatles after their first two albums were sublime.

But, brothers Gallagher have been feuding for 15 years now, unable to be even in the same room with each other at times, and have been unable to reunite and play any shows since their 2009 breakup. That’s all changing though, as Oasis is back.

Amid rumors that the band had agreed to a 2025 reunion with a large block of shows at Wembley Stadium in London, and possibly a venue in Manchester, the band’s official Twitter posted this tweet late Sunday evening British time.

That follows Liam Gallagher tweeting this popular British phrase Sunday morning, which loosely means see you at the concert.

Needless to say, this is absolutely huge music news, as I’m not sure there’s a band on earth that people want to see reunited more than Oasis.  While they weren’t quite as big in the USA during the 1990s as they were in Europe, their legend has only grown stateside since. Songs like “Wonderwall”, “Don’t Look Back in Anger”, and “Champagne Supernova” are three hits that will get any bar in the USA singing along.

At this point, there’s been no talk of them playing any shows in the USA. Frankly, I think most fans would settle for them playing any amount of shows anywhere due to their volatility. They’re liable to have all the tour dates scheduled, tickets sold, and it all fall apart due to the brothers not getting along. But, if Oasis do actually make it up on stage, it will be as big as any music culture event in decades, rivaling Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ that just finished up eight shows at Wembley.

Let’s hope the reported truce between Liam and Noel lasts and the band finally reuniting lasts long enough for them to actually play these shows.
