Influencer Kelsey Wells in Two-Piece Workout Gear Says "Human Bodies are Not Statues"

Kelsey Wells is a model and fitness influencer who frequently encourages her followers to embrace body positivity and wellness. In August, she shared a video on Instagram wearing pink workout clothes, aiming to normalize bloating and remind everyone that it’s a natural part of life. “I’m simply reminding you that HUMAN BODIES ARE NOT STATUES! Our stomachs expand and contract and are designed to do so. Food is fuel and you NEED to fuel your body every single day—how dare we allow anyone (or anything) to make us feel less confident for existing in our ever-changing bodies!?!” she wrote.

Wells also shared more insights into her fitness and wellness journey, revealing how she’s worked on improving her relationship with food and embracing healthier habits over the years. From eating nutritious meals to staying focused on self-care, Kelsey’s approach to fitness is all about balance and self-love. Here’s a look at some of the ways she stays fit and encourages others to do the same.

Wells is a big believer in eating healthy, and not starving herself. She wrote in her Instagram caption, “I had a massive shoot day on Thursday filming exercise content for 8 hours straight. I had a snack every 90 mins or so, and ate a BIG nutrient dense lunch at midday (teriyaki chicken bowl, brown rice, allll the veggies, extra sauce!). I didn’t even think about it— I was simply taking care of myself.

Wells also revealed in her Instagram caption that she is improving her eating habits and self-confidence. “I couldn’t help but remember how in the beginning of my career, I not only thought about it— but tried to eat as little as possible during these grueling shoot days.💔I was doing my best back then! But as I know better, I strive to do better. I’m so proud of baby Kels and so proud of the woman I am today, continuing to unpack and break down my deeply rooted self-limiting beliefs as I become aware of them.”

Wells shared some of her favorite foods in a blog post. She says that she loves oats and yogurt as a quick breakfast.  “If I know I’m not going to have time to cook breakfast, I’ll prepare overnight oats the evening before, and top it with Greek yoghurt and berries. Oats are so nutritious, so this is perfect when I’m in a hurry! I sometimes add protein powder to my oats to make sure I’m meeting my protein requirements after a PWR workout.”

Wells shared some of her favorite snacks in her blog post. “I always have healthy snacks to keep me satisfied between meals! Around mid-morning, I’ll generally opt for an iced latte or a choc protein smoothie. If I’m on-the-go, I’ll have a protein bar or these homemade chocolate coconut protein bites with a latte to get me through until lunchtime. Sliced apple with almond butter is another delicious option that doesn’t require any preparation and that I will take with me if I’m out and about.”

In the caption of this Instagram post, Wells talked about the importance of focusing on yourself. “Tell me ONE THING you are doing TODAY to take care of YOU or move towards your goals? To all my Mindful Strength Challenge girlies SLAYING with me in the @sweat app? I know what your answer should be!☺️😉 have you watched this week’s mindfulness content challenge card yet? If you’re feeling overwhelmed— it’s ok. Progress is dictated by DIRECTION, never perfection. REST and DOING LESS are imperative to creativity and balance.”
