Ian McKellen has been taken to the hospital after falling off the stage during a performance in London, BBC reports.
The 85-year-old actor lost his footing and fell during a fight scene while playing John Falstaff in a production of Player Kings at the Noël Coward Theater in London.
The remainder of the evening performance was canceled. It’s unknown at this time whether McKellen has sustained any injuries.
Player Kings merges William Shakespeare’s Henry IV, Part 1 and Henry IV, Part 2 into one production.
