Emerging trio HotWax have released the thrilling new single ‘One More Reason’, and shared tour dates across the UK and EU.
The new track is the latest slither from the Hasting band’s forthcoming debut album ‘Hot Shock’, which arrives March 07 via Marathon Artists.
It follows previous album cuts ‘She’s Got A Problem’ and ‘Wanna Be A Doll’, and arrives with a stellar video, directed by the band’s longtime collaborator Josh Quinton, featuring fashion icon Princess Julia.
Have a watch and a listen via the video below.
Explaining the song’s meaning and how it came about, the band’s vocalist Tallulah Sim-Savage has said:
“When we were at Stella’s [Mozgawa, of Warpaint] studio in Joshua Tree we were jamming together and Lola started with this bass riff, instantly Stella said ‘We have to record this’.”
“We got it down as a jam idea and over the next months we wrote One More Reason. We wanted it to feel like the opening song at a festival set, we wanted it to be relentless and addictive.
“It’s about loving someone so much you kinda hate it, which is relentless and addictive.”
And as well as new music, the band – consisting of Sim-Savage (vocals, guitar), Lola Sam (bassist), Alfie Sayers (drums) – have also shared the dates for a forthcoming UK and EU spring tour.
