Green Day were joined onstage by Billie Eilish last night (January 30), opening the L.A. FireAid concert with a soaring duet of ‘Last Night On Earth’.
Part of the FireAid benefit concerts for L.A. wildfire relief, the band took to the stage at the iconic Kia Forum to open the event.
Starting their three-song set with a moving rendition of the ’21st Century Breakdown’ track, Billie Eilish joined them onstage for the duet.
Followed by performances of 2016 track ‘Still Breathing’ and ‘When I Come Around’, you can watch footage of the show below:
Speaking during the show, frontman Billie Joe Armstrong told the crowd:
“Los Angeles, we are still alive. This is California, and we are all in this together. From the bottom of our hearts we love you Los Angeles, and we’ve got your back no matter what.”
Red Hot Chili Peppers and Stevie Nicks were also among the names performing throughout the evening, as well as a special surprise Nirvana reunion.
