After a five-month delay due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, the 2023 Emmy Awards are being held today at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles. Walking the red carpet alongside the stars, writers and directors of nominated programs are TV executives from traditional media companies and streamers as well as talent agents.
Because of the unusual timing of the Emmys, for some of them today’s ceremony and red carpet appearance follow a marathon of events over the past week that included the Golden Globes, the MPTF’s Evening Before benefit and the Critics Choice Awards, with some hopping on a plane to the Sundance Film Festival next.
