Dead & Company Kick Off Las Vegas Residency: Video + Setlist

The Las Vegas Strip has been transformed into a massive Shakedown Street thanks to Dead & Company, who officially opened their “Dead Forever” residency at The Sphere on Thursday night.

Taking the stage of Las Vegas’ hottest new venue for the first of 24 shows, Dead & Company played a jam-packed, 19-song set delivered in two parts. After opening with “Feel Like a Stranger,” the group performed fan favorites like “Jack Straw,” “Bird Song,” and “Brown-Eyed Woman.”

Following a half-hour break, Dead & Company picked up with “Uncle John’s Band” and ran through classics like “Help on the Way,” “Slipknot!,” and “Franklin’s Tower.” They closed the evening with back-to-back covers of Bob Dylan’s “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door” and The Crickets’ “Not Fade Away.”

Coming up on their 10th year as a band, Dead & Company’s residency at The Sphere is their first run of dates since wrapping their 2023 tour last July (allegedly their final “tour” ever). Now, each night at The Sphere will feature a unique setlist with “never-before-seen visual storytelling” courtesy of the venue’s state-of-the-art technology.

Dead & Company’s “Dead Forever” residency runs through mid-July, with the band set to perform three-night runs at the venue on weekends. Check out the full list of their upcoming residency dates, and grab tickets here.

Previously, The Sphere hosted a residency for U2 and a run of shows by Phish.
