BLACKGOLD have unleashed a futuristic, Matrix-inspired video for their recently released single ‘Social Blackout’.
Taken from their recently released EP ‘Back With Another One’, the track is a commentary on the effects of social media on society.
Speaking on ‘Social Blackout’, the band’s Spookz has shared:
“People are so addicted to having a good social media presence that they forget to be present in the room they are in, it’s like we are all looking for likes and stimulation through a screen just like the matrix. It’s a scary time for humanity, we need to connect in person, we need a social media blackout to remember who we are.”

BLACKGOLD played their debut headline show at The Dome in London back in May, and Rock Sound were there to capture the action. Read our full review of the evening here.
