Legendary American jazz guitarist Bill Frisell is currently in the midst of a six-night residency at the iconic Blue Note Jazz Club in New York City.
The Grammy Award-winner kicked off his run on Tuesday, Nov. 29, with a performance with the Bill Frisell Five, comprised of Thomas Morgan, Rudy Royston, Tony Scherr and Kenny Wollesen, who joined him the following evening on Nov. 30. Last night, he followed up by Frisell handling a set solo.
The run will continue tonight, Dec. 2, through Sunday, Dec. 4, with the Bill Frisell trio–made up of Frisell, Morgan and Royston–and special guests Ambrose Akinmusire and Gregory Tarty tonight and while Immanuel Wilkins will join for the final show on Dec. 4.
