Sid The Cat Presents has announced a new benefit concert dubbed “I Love LA” Eaton Fire Relief. A play off of Randy Newman’s love letter to The City of Angels, the one-off occasion is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025, at Glendale Presbyterian Church in Glendale, Calif. It raises funds for those affected by Los Angeles’ Eaton Fire, with proceeds benefiting the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund.
Making up the list of impending talent that will entertain during an evening steeped in compassion is the virtuoso Andrew Bird, who graces the lineup ahead of his frequent collaborator, Madison Cunningham. The pair released a joint LP, Cunningham Bird, in October 2024–the duo’s landmark interpretation of the 1973 Buckingham Nicks set.
Also included on the artist bill are indie darlings Bright Eyes, David Longstreth of Dirty Projectors, My Morning Jacket frontman Jim James, folk-rock favorite Kevin Morby, alt-pop princess Lucus, and The Milk Carton Kids, ahead of Delicate Steve, Ethan Tasch, Kelcey Ayer, Molly Burch, Strawberry Guy, Uwade, Watkins Family Hour.
Outlining the intent the ticket page imparts, “The Los Angeles wildfires were a profound shock for everyone in the city and beyond, and has meant a lifetime of rebuilding for so many. In the wake of such devastation, to see the outpouring of support for each other has given us the greatest sense of pride in the city that we love.
That’s why we’re proud to bring you I Love LA, an evening of music and community to benefit the people affected by the Eaton Fire, taking place at Glendale Presbyterian Church on February 8th. Proceeds will go to Sweet Relief’s Musicians Fund, to benefit musicians affected by the fire.”
