The wait is over. Yeat has officially unleashed his Young Thug-assisted track “My Wrist.”
Yeat previewed the record on Instagram last month, as he was riding the success of his third studio album AftërLyfe. As pointed out by Genius, the West Coast native shared the snippet after announcing he was scrapping the AftërLyfe deluxe edition in favor of a full-length LP.
“No deluxe anymore,” he wrote in a since-deleted tweet. “Imma jus drop a album fukit.”
It’s unclear if “My Wrist” is a standalone track or part of a proper project. It’s also worth noting that Yeat has previewed a couple other tracks over the past month, including “I do wat i want” and “Ik shit get hard.” The teasers have led many to believe Yeat is warming fans up for his next album rollout.
The artist has not shared any concrete details about AftërLyfe’s follow-up.
This isn’t the first time Yeat has joined forces with Young Thug. The 23-year-old previously enlisted the incarcerated YSL rapper for “Outsidë,” a fan-favorite cut off his 2022 sophomore album 2 Alivë.
You can stream “My Wrist,” produced by Pi’erre Bourne, on all major platforms.
