Wolfgang Van Halen‘s Mammoth have released a new song, “The End,” along with a star-studded Robert Rodriguez-directed video featuring Danny Trejo, Slash, and more.
“The End” marks the first new music from Wolfgang since he dropped his initials from the Mammoth WVH moniker, and it’s a ripper, opening with a shreddy tapping solo that echoes the guitar theatrics of Wolfgang’s late father, the legendary Eddie Van Halen. Performed by Wolfgang and returning collaborator Michael “Elvis” Baskette, the track balances fast-paced verses sections with a hyper melodic chorus that showcases Wolfgang’s vocals.
“I’ve had the tapping idea on the intro for ‘The End’ since before Mammoth,” Wolfgang said via a press release. “I was able to fit it into this world. It’s still over-the-top and shreddy, but it’s also melodic and controlled. Overall, I was doing some different things on the record, and I knew this was going to be a big step. Once we finished ‘The End,’ it felt really special to me.”

Wolfgang and company went all-out on the video for the new song, tapping Robert Rodriguez for a tribute to his cult classic From Dusk Till Dawn, with a nod to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” video.
In the entertaining clip, Mammoth are booked to play a dive bar owned by a character played by Danny Trejo — and if you’ve seen the aforementioned vampire shoot-em-up, you can probably ascertain what goes down when things suddenly go dire for the band. Notable cameos include Slash, Myles Kennedy, and Wolfgang’s mother, Valerie Bertinelli.
Along with the single and video, Mammoth also announced a Fall 2025 US headlining tour with support from Myles Kennedy. That’s in addition to a busy 2025 itinerary that’s already on the books, including support runs for Seether and Creed throughout May, July, and August.
The headlining dates kick off November 1st in Las Vegas and run through December 6th in Tempe, Arizona. A Live Nation ticket pre-sale for select dates begins Wednesday (May 7th) at 10 a.m. local time using the code DANCE. General ticket sales start Friday (May 9th) at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster.
