Hans Zimmer is leaving the studio and returning to the stage.
The legendary composer — behind such iconic film scores like “The Dark Knight,” “Dune,” “Gladiator,” “Inception,” “Lion King” and many more — is embarking on a 19-concert ‘Hans Zimmer Live’ North American tour this September and October.
Along the way, the two-time Oscar winner will headline at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Thursday, Sept. 12.
At all shows, expect the unexpected.
“…there is no conductor, no sheet music in front of each musician, and not a single frame from any of the films he’s referencing,” according to AP News.
“I come from rock and roll and I believe in putting on a show,” the 66-year-old says. “People worked hard to pay for these tickets, so we better pull off a show that is absolutely worthy of them coming and seeing us.”
For those that want to see Zimmer put on a show filled with nods to his vast filmography, tickets for all shows can be snagged as soon as today.
Although inventory isn’t available on Ticketmaster until Friday, March 22, fans who want to ensure they have tickets ahead of time can purchase on sites like Vivid Seats before tickets are officially on sale.
Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.
They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.
