When the Padres are away, Deftones will play.

Chino Moreno’s alt-metal group announced they’re bringing their fifth annual ‘Dia De Los Deftones Festival’ to San Diego’s Petco Park on Saturday, Nov. 2.

At the one-day extravaganza, they’ll be joined by British rockers Idles, emo icons Sunny Day Real Estate (performing their 1994 debut album “Diary” in its entirety), experimental noise band Health, Hip-Hop duo Paris Texas and indie vets Duster.

Rounding out the lineup is Gel and Qendresa.

As hinted at above, this is Deftones’ fifth fest at “the house that Tony Gwynn built;” earlier editions of the festival took place in 2018-19 and 2022-23.

“It’s like putting together a mix tape, but it’s a live show and you can put different artists together in one live setting… It’s a well-rounded event that — even if we weren’t performing at it — I think we’d enjoy going to as music fans,” Moreno shared with the San Diego Union-Tribune ahead of the inaugural Dia De Los Deftones.

At the time of publication, ticket prices start at $115 with fees on Vivid Seats.
