In the trailer for the next episode of Drink Champs, ASAP Rocky appears to agree with a statement from N.O.R.E. about Travis Scott stealing his “whole style.”
In the rapidly cut clip, which also teases Rocky talking about Kanye West identifying him as one of the best dressed men in music, host N.O.R.E. stated, “Travis Scott stole his whole style from ASAP Rocky.”
Rocky seemingly agrees, replying, “Yeah.” It’s not clear if the trailer has been edited in a way to make it appear as though Rocky agrees with the narrative that La Flame stole his style or if he’s simply aware of it.
Fans have long speculated about issues between the two artists, despite very little evidence indicating such issues. In an interview with Complex in 2018, Rocky said he thinks Scott’s music is “cool,” while the “Sicko Mode” rapper was among those to call for ASAP’s release from a Swedish jail in 2019. When the alleged drama flared up again in 2019, Rocky simply tweeted, “THAT ME N TRAVIS BEEF SHIT SO PLAYED OUT, LET IT GO.”
Ahead of the release of the new episode, the Drink Champs account also teased Rocky talking about the time Fabolous shot down his request for a signature as a kid.
“I’m like 12 or something, [and] I’m like, ‘Yo my heart pounding, I could get a picture or autograph,’” he explained. “He said no to the picture, and then I asked for the autograph but I could tell, like, he was looking around and all that type of shit. I guess he was trying to be on 10, he was trying to be on-point. As a kid it ain’t really register to me, I was a little hurt. So I went home and ripped down all his [posters] and shit.”
Rocky laughed and said Fab is “still my n***a,” and he’s since told the legend the story. “He was like, ‘Wow it’s crazy how shit turn out,’” ASAP recalled. “But I just learned from it. I always try not to tell kids no.”
