New York-based composer and multi-instrumentalist Cassie Wieland—under her moniker Vines—has released ‘Evicted,’ the lead single from her highly anticipated debut album I’ll be here, arriving July 18th, 2025.
‘Evicted’ marks a powerful opening statement for Vines’ first full-length project. The track is a slow-burning, emotionally resonant piece that reflects Wieland’s masterful ability to sculpt atmosphere and vulnerability in equal measure. Built on swelling synths, layered instrumentals, and her evolving vocals, ‘Evicted’ captures a moment of introspective transition—an exploration of uncertainty and the fragile space between healing and hurt. The accompanying video, directed by Evan Chapman, mirrors the track’s intimate energy, offering a visual extension of its emotional arc.
Wieland shares:
“‘Evicted’ is the first song with lyrics that I wrote for this record. It’s about going through a transitional period in your life and not knowing where it’s going. I’m reflecting on the insecurity and discomfort that can come with healing.”
With ‘Evicted,’ Vines invites listeners into a world of emotional openness and sonic richness—an evocative first glimpse of what promises to be a deeply affecting debut.
