Victoria Justice talks with Kyle Meredith about her most recent singles (including “Down”) and her upcoming film roles (including Depravity and California King). Listen to the conversation above or wherever you get your podcasts.
The former Victorious star discusses why she’s so focused on her music career as of late, as well as why her new musical era finds her leaning into a more sensual side of herself. She dives into the process of writing and recording her new single “Down,” which took place in Baja, Mexico, before taking listeners behind the scenes of Remi Wolf’s “Motorcycle” music video. The actress also looks further into the future, musing over an eventual album release and tour.
Justice then touches on her upcoming acting gigs, including the pilot episode of Suits: L.A., noting that she hopes her guest spot can grow into something recurring if it gets picked up for a full series– which NBC just ordered. “I had so many friends DM being like, ‘Oh my god, you’re gonna be in the new Suits?! This is the coolest thing you’ve ever done!’” she says with a laugh. “I had no idea people felt this way about this show.”
Listen to Victoria Justice chat about all this, as well as her roles in the upcoming thriller Depravity and the Joel McHale-starring California King, and more in the new episode.
