Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival 2023 is back on, as confirmed by Tyler, the Creator. The California music festival has been on ice since 2019.
Tyler teased the return of the festival in his cameo in the music video for “The Hillbillies” by Kendrick Lamar and Baby Keem. Solange, Juice WRLD, Brockhampton, FKA twigs, and more performed at the 2019 edition of the music festival. A surprise headliner suspected to be Frank Ocean and revealed to be Drake resulted in fans booing the Toronto rapper off the stage.
The hip-hop festival will return to Dodger Stadium for a two-day spectacle after an absence of more than two years. The festival will take place November 11 & 12, with advance sale tickets starting June 2.
Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival originated in 2012 and combined the elements of a music festival and a carnival, featuring both games and rides. The celebration was originally called the Odd Future, or OFWKGTA Carnival, named after the Los Angeles creative collective that includes Tyler, the Creator, Syd, Frank Ocean, and Earl Sweatshirt. The inaugural festival took place in September 2012 at Club Nokia with a limited number of performances.
Since then, Camp Flog Gnaw has evolved into a multi-day music festival featuring multiple stages and a huge variety of artists. Tickets for the 2023 edition start at $335 for a two-day general admission pass or $595 for a two-day VIP pass. A two-day super VIP is available for $1495. Prices for festival tickets will go up once general admission starts, so fans are encouraged to sign up for early access.
