Tom Cruise was spotted among the thousands of fans attending Oasis’ first sold-out reunion concert at London’s Wembley Stadium — a surprising twist considering the band once savaged the actor in their 2007 rock documentary Lord Don’t Slow Me Down.
In the film, shot during Oasis’ “Don’t Believe the Truth” world tour, brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher took aim at Cruise during a characteristically brash backstage moment. “He’s a little fucker, and he’s not been in one good film in his entire career,” Noel quipped, with Liam doubling down, “I hate Tom Cruise. Bastard. Him and (footballer) Michael Owen.”
Despite the blunt critique, there appears to be no lingering animosity. In 2009, reports surfaced that Cruise playfully addressed the comments when he and Liam crossed paths at a Berlin hotel. The actor reportedly reminded Liam that he also praised Cruise’s 1988 film, Cocktail, in the same documentary before they reportedly shook hands and parted on good terms.

The band’s reunion tour kicked off earlier this month in Cardiff and has already attracted a slate of celebrity attendees. Cruise attended the first Wembley show on July 25th, as seen in a photo posted by renowned drum and bass pioneer Goldie.
Following their Wembley shows, Oasis will continue to Edinburgh and Dublin, before heading to North America, with stops in Toronto, New Jersey, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Mexico City. The band will then hit Wembley Stadium for two more appearances, followed by dates in Asia, Australia, and South America. See the full schedule below, and get tickets here.
