Themed raves are becoming the best way to celebrate nostalgic television and movie franchises.
For one night only, the Rhino room in Adelaide is transforming into the bustling, lovably dysfunctional town of Springfield.
In the latest dose of rave-fueled nostalgia, the Australian venue is hosting a party dedicated to the most successful animated series in history, The Simpsons. It follows in the footsteps of the recent Shrek– and SpongeBob SquarePants-themed raves, both of which are currently touring the United States.
Attendees are encouraged to dress up as their favorite characters and hit the dancefloor, with one lucky Simpsonian receiving a prize for rocking the best costume. Ravers will take in all the sights and sounds from the series and share in the opportunity to pose for pictures, grab a snack from the Kwik-E-Mart and crack open a bottle of Buzz Cola, among other themed drinks inspired by the iconic franchise.
Tickets to Simpsons-themed rave in Adelaide are available now. The event, organized by Yikes Adelaide and scheduled for June 3rd, is also seeking DJs, videographers and other supporting staff to join the festivities. You can contact the organization for more information.
