FINNEAS and Ashe have joined forces to form a new band called The Favors and announced their debut album, The Dream, set for release on September 19th via Darkroom. In anticipation, they’ve shared lead single “The Little Mess You Made.” Stream it below.
Inspired by the folk sounds of Laurel Canyon, The Dream was written and recorded in Nashville and Los Angeles over the past 18 months. In an Instagram Story posted earlier this week, FINNEAS revealed drummer David Marinelli and guitarist Ricky Gourmet also contributed to the record.
“This is the way every artist dreams of making an album,” Ashe said in a press statement. “People don’t sing together anymore when they’re recording, but it was so romantic and fun.” She also expressed her goal for fans to feel “simultaneously warm, fuzzy, and heartbroken” while listening to The Dream.

“It’s a true ‘long-play album’ in its real intended meaning,” FINNEAS added. “Hopefully, you can have friends over, cook a meal, and play this on vinyl front-to-back.”
FINNEAS and Ashe are frequent collaborators, beginning with Ashe’s 2019 EPs Moral of the Story: Chapter 1 and Chapter 2. In 2021, FINNEAS co-wrote and produced the song “Till Forever Falls Apart” from Ashe’s debut album, Ashlyn.
Currently on break from tour, FINNEAS will return to the road this summer, playing to fans in the UK, Europe, and parts of the US (get tickets here). Meanwhile, Ashe is performing across the United States this June (get tickets here), ahead of a handful of festival slots in the following months, including All Things Go D.C.
FINNEAS released his second album, For Cryin’ Out Loud!, in 2024. Ashe’s third album, Willson, also dropped last year.
