An influx of techno and house music is coming to Brooklyn’s Greenpoint neighborhood.
Teksupport has partnered with ArtsDistrict, a 25,000-square foot event space on the edge of the East River, for a series of 20 shows in 2023.
ArtsDistrict, which opened its doors in August 2022, has previously hosted experiential, multi-sensory exhibits. The partnership with Teksupport marks the venue’s first music events under new ownership. Up until 2018, the Greenpoint warehouse was home to House Of Vans, serving as a concert space and skate park for the popular boarding brand.
Teksupport’s bread and butter is throwing late-night techno events in Brooklyn warehouses, though they’ve taken over submarine factories, subterranean ballrooms and the iconic Grand Central Station too. Their events in 2022 were largely held in a secluded, sprawling space within the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
Unlike the Brooklyn Navy Yard, which skewed towards bespoke production for each event, ArtsDistrict comes equipped with an inventive, 360° projection system and a revolving stage. Another key difference between the venues is ease of access. Revelers would have to walk from the main entry gates of the Brooklyn Navy Yard—a private compound spanning 300 acres—to the event warehouse, a particularly grueling walk on a chilly winter night. ArtsDistrict, on the other hand, is located on a public street.

“Teksupport is reimagining what is possible in electronic music in NYC, and we are thrilled to provide a platform for innovative artists and Teksupport’s unparalleled events,“ said Jacob Feldman, ArtsDistrict’s Chief of Business Development. “Our shared passion for pushing boundaries and providing a one-of-a-kind experience for our audiences makes this partnership one that will allow us to bring a truly immersive and unparalleled electronic music experience to New York audiences.”
Programming for the partnership between Teksupport and ArtsDistrict kicked off with a doubleheader on the weekend of January 20th. Nina Kraviz and Magdalena brought a dose of heavy techno for the inaugural event while KAS:ST and Kevin de Vries continued the celebrations on January 21st.
The next show is on February 10th during New York Fashion Week with a lineup curated by Senza Fine, a project by DJ Tennis and Carlita. Both artists will be playing individual sets and have hand-picked additional acts including Seth Troxler, Ahmed Spins and HVOB.
