Takeoff and Quavo Open Up About Future of Migos in New Interview

Takeoff and Quavo, whose new album as a duo is out this Friday, have addressed their current feelings toward the future of Migos.

During an appearance on DJ Scream’s Big Facts podcast, as seen in the Shade Room-shared clip below, the two were asked about where things stand with regards to “more Migos,” including a potential fourth Culture entry.

“I just feel like we want to see our career as a duo because we just came from a loyal family,” Quavo said of his and Takeoff’s current plans, adding that family is “supposed to stick together” but sometimes that isn’t the case.

“Sometimes, when shit don’t work out, it ain’t meant to be,” Quavo added. “So that’s what I think.”

Deeper into the clip, Takeoff also addressed the family aspect of their relationship with fellow Migos member Offset.

“We don’t know all answers,” he said. “God know. So we pray a lot. And we tell him, whatever, whatever ain’t right, however you supposed to see it fit, you put it back together or however you do it. Only time will tell. We always family, now. Ain’t nothing gon’ change.”

From there, Quavo clarified that recent developments in the Migos universe have “nothing to do” with Quality Control or anything paperwork-related. Instead, he explained, “this got something to do with the three brothers.” Thus, for now, Quavo says he and Takeoff are “gonna be the duo.”

Of course, this isn’t the first time the future of Migos has been discussed. Quavo previously gave similar comments to GQ Hype, telling the publication now was the time for each member of the trio “to establish themselves.”

Offset, meanwhile, was reported in August to be suing Quality Control over an alleged disagreement regarding rights to his solo work.
