Stevie Nicks postpones tour dates after shoulder fracture

Stevie Nicks has been forced to postpone several upcoming tour dates after fracturing her shoulder.

The former Fleetwood Mac singer, 77, took to Instagram on Friday to announce the shocking news.

“Due to a recent injury resulting in a fractured shoulder that will require recovery time, Stevie Nicks’ scheduled concerts in August and September will be rescheduled,” the statement began.

“More information will be available at the point of purchase, ticketholders are advised to hold on to their tickets and consult the list of scheduled dates,” it continued. “All previously purchased tickets will be honored on the new date.”

“Stevie looks forward to seeing everyone soon and apologizes to the fans for this inconvenience,” it concluded after noting that all the shows set for October will proceed as scheduled.

The nine tour stops that the “Dreams” singer had to reschedule include Detroit, Saint Paul, Toronto, Brooklyn, Boston, Cincinnati, Columbia, Tampa and Hollywood, Florida.

Nicks’ tour will resume on October 1 at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon, and continue until the rescheduled stop at the Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida, on December 10.

The Post has reached out to Nicks’ rep for comment.

Meanwhile, fans rushed to social media to wish the “Landslide” singer well amid her sudden and startling injury.

“Heal quickly and safely, goddess,” one person wrote alongside a red heart emoji.

“Hope you’re feeling better soon,” commented another. “Here’s to a speedy healing.”

“I’m so sorry, Stevie. Feel better, we love you,” a third added, while a fourth fan wrote, “Get well soon! We will all be waiting for you.”

Days before the “Silver Springs” singer announced her fractured shoulder and tour date postponement, she and her ex-boyfriend/former Fleetwood Mac bandmate, Lindsey Buckingham, announced that they are reissuing their 1973 album “Buckingham Nicks.”

Taking to Instagram on July 23, Nicks and Buckingham, 77, released a joint video of a billboard advertising the long-lost album on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles, Calif.

“Buckingham Nicks is available for pre-order now, out September 19th,” the pair captioned the post. “‘Crying In The Night’ is yours now. Listen at the link in bio.”

The sudden announcement left longtime Fleetwood Mac fans celebrating the news, particularly because Nicks and Buckingham had been at odds in recent years.

Plus, the pair’s social media activity in the lead-up to the “Buckingham Nicks” announcement had many fans speculating that a Fleetwood Mac reunion might be on the horizon.

After meeting as high school students near Palo Alto in the 1960s, Buckingham asked Nicks to join his rock band, Fritz, as its lead singer.

They later left the group, moved to Los Angeles, and started their own band, Buckingham Nicks – although they were dropped from their contract at Polydor Records after their debut, self-titled album flopped.

It wasn’t until 1974 that the couple were invited to join Fleetwood Mac, and they remained together romantically until the recording of the band’s seminal 1977 album, “Rumours.”

Despite their breakup, Nicks and Buckingham both remained with Fleetwood Mac until Buckingham’s abrupt departure in April 2018.

The “Go Your Own Way” group has not been active since keyboardist Christine McVie passed away in 2022 at the age of 79.

McVie’s celebration of life in January 2023 allegedly marked the first time Nicks and Buckingham spoke since his sudden departure from Fleetwood Mac five years earlier.

“The only time I’ve spoken to Lindsey was there, for about three minutes,” Nicks told Rolling Stone in 2024. “I dealt with Lindsey for as long as I could. You could not say that I did not give him more than 300 million chances.”
