RL Grime news? Is it Halloween already?
After five long years, the influential trap producer is set to return for his third studio album, APEX. Starting off the week on a high note, Grime shared an announcement video revealing the follow-up to 2018’s scintillating sophomore album, Nova.
Promising a “new audio experience,” the video shows the album’s title and release date, September 15th, with some futuristic sounds to set the mood.
Details about the hotly anticipated album are currently scarce aside from its title and release date. While the teaser video is aesthetically pleasing, it does not offer any conclusive information about what’s to come on the music front from Grime later this year.
Though it’s worth noting that the cover art of “Breach,” his recently released collaboration with Juelz, features imagery similar to the announcement video. However, we’re unable to confirm whether or not the track will appear on APEX at the time of writing. The same goes for “Pour Your Heart Out,” a soaring collaboration with 070 Shake that released in June.
