It was love at first booty grab.
So reveals Rihanna about her five-year relationship with rapper A$AP Rocky, with whom she has two children: sons RZA, who turns 2 next month, and Riot, 8 months.
“He grabbed my ass!” Rihanna, 36, told Interview magazine about their first meeting at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards.
“That was the day that we thought we met. At rehearsal, so it was, like, manager to manager, client to client … My team was worried that I wanted to have his head on a f—king mantle.”
However, the “Disturbia” singer was not at all disturbed.
“I was like, ‘Ah, nah,’” said Rihanna. “That’s why everybody was like, ‘Oh my god. She likes him.’”
Still, it would take years before Rihanna and Rocky — who officially began dating in late 2019 — were ready to slowly find love with each other.
“We’ve known each other for a long time,” she said. “I’ve seen him in relationships. He’s seen me in relationships. We’ve seen each other outside of relationships.
“We knew what we’re capable of, and the trouble that we could bring to each other’s lives. We can make or break each other’s hearts. And so, we started dating with a lot of caution.”
In fact, Rihanna wasn’t immediately sure that Rocky was The One.
“I just let whatever was supposed to happen, happen,” she said. “It was just, ‘This is a flower. It’s either going to die or blossom. But I’m going to let it decide itself.’”
Now, Mama RiRi is hoping to keep expanding her family with Rocky, revealing that she wants to have “as many [kids] as God wants to me to have.”
“I don’t know what God wants, but I would go for more than two,” she said. “I would try for my girl. But of course if it’s another boy, it’s another boy.”
But there are definitely some superficial setbacks to motherhood — even for a beauty and fashion mogul like Rihanna.
Asked what her “fantasy” plastic surgery would be in the future, the “Lift Me Up” songstress said: “I want my t-tties pinned back to my shoulders, right where they used to be. I don’t want implants. I just want a lift.”
And while she may be the fiercest of fashionistas, Rihanna confessed that, as a mother of two young children, she often looks more frumpy than fabulous.
“It’s more like I spend my time getting the kids dressed to death, and then I’m like, ‘What’s the most comfortable outfit to wear around them?’” she told Interview. “Moms are lazy dressers in real life.”
Rihanna admitted that she even gets fashion-shamed by Rocky.
“I be feeling bummy as s—t next to this man,” she said. “I look like his assistant. I’m getting on a plane. We should be in sweats. He wants to be in a full Bottega suit. I’m like, ‘Why you got to do that to me?’”
